Last updated: July 3, 2026
1. Introduction
At PanamAdventure, we value the privacy of the people who visit and use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, with whom we may share it, how long we keep it and what rights users have regarding their personal data.
PanamAdventure is an informational digital platform focused on tourism, adventure, nature, culture and experiences in Panama. Our goal is to provide clear, useful and responsible information while respecting user privacy.
2. Data controller
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the data controller is PanamAdventure.
For questions, requests or complaints related to privacy and personal data protection, you may contact us at [email protected] or through the official channels published on the platform.
3. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the PanamAdventure website, its pages, forms, features, content, digital communications and any related service that refers to this Privacy Policy.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, apps, maps, social networks, tourism operators, businesses, public institutions or other external services that may be linked from PanamAdventure. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and terms of use.
4. Personal data we may collect
PanamAdventure may collect personal data when users voluntarily provide it or when they interact with the platform. Depending on the features enabled, this data may include:
- First and last name.
- Email address.
- Phone number, if provided by the user.
- Messages, inquiries, suggestions, requests or content submitted through forms.
- Language, browsing or content preferences.
- Technical information such as device, browser, IP address, operating system and activity logs.
- Platform usage data, such as visited pages, browsing time, clicks and interaction with content.
We do not intentionally request sensitive personal data unless it is strictly necessary for a specific feature and the user voluntarily provides it.
5. Automatically collected data
When visiting PanamAdventure, certain technical data may be automatically collected to maintain security, measure performance, detect errors, improve user experience and understand how the platform is used.
This information may include IP address, browser type, device, operating system, visited pages, date and time of access, session duration, links consulted and general interaction data.
Whenever possible, we use this information in aggregated or statistical form without attempting to personally identify the user.
6. Purposes of processing
We may use personal data for the following purposes:
- Responding to inquiries, requests, comments or reports submitted by users.
- Managing contact, collaboration, information correction or commercial communication forms.
- Improving the platform's content, structure, performance and security.
- Analyzing site usage to understand which destinations, pages or content are most useful.
- Sending informational communications, if the user subscribes or authorizes them.
- Preventing abuse, attacks, unauthorized access, scraping, spam or misuse.
- Complying with legal, regulatory, administrative obligations or requests from competent authorities.
- Protecting PanamAdventure's rights, content, brand, reputation, security and operation.
7. Legal basis for processing
Personal data may be processed based on user consent, fulfillment of a request made by the user, compliance with legal obligations, platform security, PanamAdventure's legitimate interest in improving and protecting its services, or any other basis allowed by applicable law.
When processing depends on consent, the user may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out previously.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
PanamAdventure may use cookies, pixels, local storage, tags, analytics tools or similar technologies to remember preferences, improve navigation, measure site usage, analyze performance and strengthen security.
Google Analytics is loaded only after the user accepts analytics cookies. The choice is stored in the browser's local storage and can be changed at any time through “Manage cookies” in the site footer. Rejecting analytics cookies does not prevent access to PanamAdventure's public content or forms.
Users may configure their browser to block, delete or limit the use of cookies. However, some features may not operate correctly if certain necessary technologies are disabled.
9. Third-party services
PanamAdventure may use third-party services to operate, protect, measure or improve the platform. These third parties may include hosting, analytics, maps, email, forms, social media, security, storage, performance tools or similar services.
Google Analytics is currently used—with consent only—to obtain aggregated metrics about visits, sessions, devices, approximate location and interaction with content. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to protect forms against spam and abuse and may process technical information, including the IP address, when verifying a submission.
These providers should only process the data necessary to provide their services. However, each provider may apply its own privacy policies, terms and practices.
If PanamAdventure integrates maps, videos, social buttons, embedded content or external tools, those services may collect technical user data even if no form is completed within PanamAdventure.
10. National or international transfers
Some technology providers used by PanamAdventure may store or process information on servers located inside or outside Panama.
When applicable, we will seek to ensure that such providers apply reasonable security, confidentiality and data protection measures in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
11. Data retention
We will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, respond to user requests, maintain administrative records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse or protect PanamAdventure's rights.
When data is no longer necessary, we may delete it, anonymize it or retain it in aggregated form for statistical, technical or historical purposes.
12. Information security
PanamAdventure will adopt reasonable technical, organizational and administrative measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, misuse or destruction.
However, no computer system, internet transmission or digital storage method is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security, although we will seek to apply reasonable protection and continuous improvement measures.
13. Electronic communications
If the user contacts us through forms, email, social media or other channels, we may use their data to respond to the request and retain a reasonable record of the communication.
If PanamAdventure offers newsletters, promotions, updates or marketing communications in the future, the user may voluntarily subscribe and request to stop receiving such communications at any time.
14. User-submitted content
If the user submits photographs, comments, suggestions, corrections, destination data or any other content, PanamAdventure may review such information to validate its relevance, accuracy, authorization and possible publication.
Users should avoid submitting personal data of third parties without authorization. If submitted content includes images, names, locations, testimonials or other information from other people, the user declares that they have the necessary permissions to share it.
15. Minors
PanamAdventure is not specifically directed to minors and does not intentionally seek to collect personal data from minors without authorization from their parents, guardians or legal representatives.
If you believe that a minor has provided personal data without authorization, you may contact us to request review or deletion of such information.
16. Data subject rights
Under applicable regulations, users may have the right to access, rectify, cancel or object to the processing of their personal data, request portability, withdraw consent or request information about the use of their data.
To exercise these rights, users may submit a request through PanamAdventure's official channels. To protect privacy and security, we may request reasonable information to verify the identity of the applicant before responding to the request.
17. Requests, complaints and contact
Users may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, updating, limitation, portability or opposition to the processing of their personal data.
Users may also contact us if they believe their data has been misused, if they wish to report a privacy incident or if they need additional information about this policy.
Contact email: [email protected].
18. No sale of personal data
PanamAdventure does not sell users' personal data. We also do not transfer personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without user authorization, unless there is an applicable legal basis or corresponding consent.
19. Changes to this Privacy Policy
PanamAdventure may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect legal, technical, operational or service-related changes.
The current version will be the one published on this page, identified by its last updated date. Continued use of the platform after any modification implies awareness of the updated version.
20. Applicable law
This Privacy Policy will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Panama, including applicable regulations on personal data protection.
